PSS-270
A TOY-KEYBOARD MICROMUSIC ARTIST

..micromusic.. ..lo-fi.. ..casio-core.. ..low-tek..
..chiptune..
The micromusic project named PSS-270 has
been established in 2005 to play lo-fi / casio-core stuff.
The music initially was supposed to be played only on YAMAHA PSS-270 keyboard -
a small toy for children.
Finally I decided to use as many toy-keyboards as possible. For now I have toys
such as:
YAMAHA PSS-270 (of course)
CASIO SK-5
YAMAHA PSS-680
CASIO SK-1
YAMAHA PSS-50
CASIO MA-120
CASIO SA-39
CASIO MT-205
CASIO SA-5
and one of only 2 toy-versions of Casio CZ series: Casio CZ-230S.
I don't use any sequencers. I play everything "from hand" and mix it on COOL
EDIT Pro. I treasure the original totally plastic and synthetic sound of the
toys, so I almost don't add any postproduction effects; rarely I add some reverb/delay
but you can state it's their original sound. But I permit, I will use some
sound-modifications in future, when I get bored with still the same instruments.
:)
My music is inspired by steam-punk, small old mechanical devices, horror-cabaret/horror-circus
atmoshpere, Doctor Who mood, and classic-electronica musicians, like Jean-Michel
Jarre, Marek Bilinski, Vangelis, Andrzej Szymalski, Kraftwerk, Roman Wiercinski
(Cyborg)...
